We’re a bunch of Misfits and we needed a place to call home. It’s the usual story of outgrowing the garage, shed, home office…wherever you’ve been plying your craft until now. We needed a place to call our own and we wanted to invite a bunch of other characters along for the ride.
About
Misfits is located in the same yard that’s home to Queenstown’s bustling film industry. We build on this heritage of artistic endeavour by providing a space that Queenstown’s most creative professionals can call home. We also provide services such as production offices and art department workshops to visiting film crews.
Misfits was started by Jonty and Max Norton, born and bred Queenstowners with a passion for the outdoors and creative work.

Designers, architects, cartoonists, engineers...it's not so much what you do but how you like to approach your work life. If you value being surrounded by a community of people that value connection, creativity and positive work then we think you'll fit right in.

Our location is where the local film industry was born in the 1980's. It's home to lighting departments, grips, unit and more. We are a fantastic location to base some or all of your production staff and have a dedicated office just for this. We also can cater to art departments with our shared workshop.
